Trigger Settings

Trigger settings may be defined to filter some values for the vibrations from the whole measurement. These settings may be different or each working cycle. E.g. if the additional channel is the rotational speed, the trigger values may be different for idle state and for full load. The settings for working cycles which are not used are not displayed.

The trigger values are defined for the signal raw data or for the signal which is smoothed by the moving average, depending on the setups for the additional channel.

If you test an item which changes the rotational speed for changing load, and if you are only interested in the values for a certain range of rotational speed, you may define an upper and a lower limit. A hysteresis may be defined also.

The diagram shows a signal with upper and lower limits. The ranges where the trigger conditions are fulfilled and where the vibration channels are evaluated are marked in green color. All other ranges will be ignored while calculating the evaluation.

Effects of the trigger settings

If trigger conditions are defined for at least one additional channels, the mean values for the vibration channels are only calculated for those sections for which all trigger conditions are fulfilled.

If trigger conditions are defined for none of the additions channels, mean values of the vibration channels are calculated from the whole signal.
